INGREDIENTS
- 2 pork chops
- Brine- 3 tbsp salt + 3 tbsp brown sugar mixed with 2 cups water
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/2 onion sliced
- 1/2 apple sliced
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 1/2 cup chicken stock
INSTRUCTIONS
•Place chops in brine. Place in fridge. Brine for at least 4 hours to overnight.
•Take chops out of fridge and bring to room temp- about 2 hours before cooking.
•Preheat oven to 425F.
•Place large skillet over high heat. Once hot, add chops. Sear 4 min per side. Remove chops.
•Add onions/apples. Sauté until browned, about 5 min. Add garlic and sauté another 2 min.
•Add wine and broth and Dijon. Bring to simmer. Add chops and put in oven. Cook until@chops cook through, about 4 min. Remove and plate!
